I have passed the pillars

0 observations

you may blind me but never find me,
for the sky is my cover and lover.

I am past the pillars, treading water
with somebody's mother, somebody's daughter.
three eyed puzzles muzzle the unmentioned,
mentats' pet cats that couldn't swim on a whim
and the women and children (first) feel cursed
because the water is now red where we tread.
I have passed the pillars and the killers
lay dead where thy fed, unwisely, on the lies we
told ourselves because we couldn't have meant
what we said in the land of the dread thread
we wind and bind ourselves with to a destiny unwritten.
smitten in our fear of the lighter spaces.

you may blind me but never find me,
for the sky is my cover and lover.

The cat has gone into hiding...my visceral reaction to David Bowie's "Unwashed and Somewhat Slightly Dazed" does that. Of course, it's really the Buddy Holly "Not Fade Away" riff that does it. Audio adrenaline.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
