open shadow

0 observations

My charming Ukrainian friend, photographer and model Mariya Andriychuk, recently did a very evocative photoshoot, then issued a challenge to me, which I gleefully, but reverentially, rise to. I would include the picture that inspired this work, but then I would have to make this an adult blog.

I would center you in my universe
enter you as oft as you allow,
finding you warm and hungry
for the purging, merging moments
when I am deep inside you and you ride,
ride me to my release, ceaseless
as you are beautiful and your eyes
and thighs hold me deep inside you.
unwilling to leave, wanting only
to go deeper in all ways, hearing you
as you feel my thrust and cry out,
captured by your beautiful heart
and the lips and hips that part
to take me in and make me your own.
I want to wake you, take you,
and forsake even my own sanity
for the vanity of making love
to so perfect an open shadow
of all I have had dark dreams of.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
