One of my favourite nursery rhymes has always the one that begins "For the want of a nail..." and teaches the value of the small things in the cascade of events. Sort of Medieval chaos theory. Today it struck me to do my own version, for all the lost loves and lovers.
For the want of the word
the touch was lost.
For the want of the touch
the kiss was lost.
For the want to the kiss
the embrace was lost.
For the want of the embrace
the moment was lost.
For the want of the moment
the passion was lost.
For the want of the passion
the merge was lost.
For the want of the merge
the lovers were lost.
For the want of the lovers
the dreams were lost.
For the want of the dreams
the legends were lost.
...And all for the want of an earnest word.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
