and the dreamers dance on

0 observations

Perilously close to touching what I know I can't resist,
close to coupling to a moment that shall evermore persist
all my nightmares and philosophies are thrown down in a kiss.

and the dreamers dance on and on.

I am falling for illusion that is coming true, in truth,
speaking words of ancient languages that contain all of the sooth,
claiming heart for heart and then some, like a law for eye or tooth.

and the dreamers dance on and on.

Shall I face my fate as fearlessly as you arrived last night,
dancing to celestial musics that shroud menace from my sight
as I find in your fair beauty all the promises of light?

and the dreamers dance on and on.
and the dreamers dance on and on.
and the dreamers dance on and on.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
