Where Dreams Never Die

0 observations

I would sail with you to the edge of Eden,
where dreams never die and I, I am your lover.
Facing the shadows unafraid, playing my serenade
on a cithara you crafted for me, intimate
to the knowledge of how I best use my hands
to make a music beyond sound, to your pleasure.

I would sail with you to speak with proud Orion,
where dreams never die and I, I trust in your heart
to always be honest and open, even in retreat,
acknowledging defeat like the Queen of Honor,
walking proudly on bare feet across petals placed
for your comfort and pleasure, in your path.

I would sail with you past the Pillars of Hercules,
beyond the known world, for we are strange
to the knowledge of the ignorant, an odd melange
of music and madness and life and death and the couer rage
to wage wars within ourselves, to wake the night
and see with a sight that is beyond colours.

This poem was writ almost a year ago, then placed keepsake into my Black Catalog. I give it now as a word to the universe that things change that we have no control over, and to accept the will of others for their own lives is the greatest gift you can give.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
