The poet is gracing us with a new work for his muse's enjoyment. All hail the Amomancer.
Bloom
take your lesson from the wildflowers that grow
by the side of the road you've walked or driven
so many times you could do so blindfolded.
bloom in your season, and for the reason
you were born and sworn to.
learn your value in the eyes and hearts
of those who can stand back and smile
and appraise you with earnest thought.
bloom in your season, and for the reason
you were born and sworn to.
there will be cold and dry days and times
when the crimes of the past haunt you
and lost loves taunt you in your dreams.
bloom in your season, and for the reason
you were born and sworn to.
there will be strange hands wanting to cut you down
before the bright petals are ready to announce you
to a world, waiting to be won.
bloom in your season, and for the reason
you were born and sworn to.
there will be poets, at least one, who will write
of not only your beauty apparent, but of the fragrance
that will linger on their soul, forever.
bloom in your season, and for the reason
you were born and sworn to.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
