He's done it again. Not just taken the leap of faith, but written an oscne amount of new material. I think we can now officially move Jaz fromt he "muse in waiting" to "major muse" category. Or...can we?
Musings
A used and worn frame is, of a fashion,
inappropriate for a worthy queen
to a throne I've known
to be sometimes
oft-times
more than once
held by a pretender.
Let me surrender
not a shadow of a city
but a living, breathing thing.
Where truths are apparent
and the shadow dancers
get to wear their shiny silk and satin costumes
as they dance their feasts
of joy and hopeful abandon
on the streets paved
with worthy kisses.

Explaining the Tags
You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.
These largely fall into 4 categories:
Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
Genre, e.g. "erotica"
We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
