you will bloom

0 observations

Not technically a Fields of Arbol piece, as it was not inspired by an image, but rather a discussion I had with LiZa Lorraine, the Brazilian photographer and model who already has made her mark, twice, in the fields. We were discussing the difficulties encountered in trying to love again after having been disappointed or betrayed and I pressed upon her that she will heal, she will get on with her life, and she will find herself in love again.

you will bloom

you will bloom when the room seems darkest
and the air seems thick and sick and cold.
for in those moments the walls and chairs,
the very airs, will need you to return to them,
to burn like a new star in the heavens
that rearranges the constellations
with her fire and light and changes the night
into a place for lovers to lay together
and wonder on the beautiful light in the sky
that, despite adversity and pain, refused to die.

    Explaining the Tags

You will note, gentle reader, that all works under this blog now display "tags" to help classify and assign the works for your review and enjoyment.

These largely fall into 4 categories:

    Year of writing, e.g. "1999"
Book published in, e.g. "from an unexpected quarter"
    Inspiring muse, e.g. "Aubergine"
    Genre, e.g. "erotica"

We are still in the process of cleaning up the tags, so please bear with us. Yes, some muses are classified under more than one tag, some poems appear in more than one book, or not yet in any volume, and some years are...hazy.
